“Without subsidies, Women on Wings realized to co-create nearly 200,000 jobs for women in rural India. This is one of the most successful social enterprises in our country and a great example for other entrepreneurs,” says Ms Lilianne Ploumen, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, in a joint interview with Maria van der Heijden, co-founder Women on Wings and Managing Director at MVO Nederland (CSR Netherlands) by P+ Magazine.
The Minister also praised the transfer earlier this year of the management of the Women on Wings organization to the Indian colleagues, because they are simply much more involved in the daily affairs: “Not everyone has the courage to take that step. Women on Wings has.”
