About Women on Wings
Women on Wings provides tailor-made business consultancy and mentoring to Indian social enterprises and government institutions with ambition to scale and offer further job opportunities to women living in rural India. Women on Wings is a foundation, established in 2007 in the Netherlands. Since May 2013 it has had an office in India. Our core team comprises professionals from India and the Netherlands. Our experts comprise a select group of highly experienced professionals and entrepreneurs, from India and the Netherlands, who share their knowledge pro-bono.
Main purpose of the AI consulting expert
- Provide AI-related business consultancy to Women on Wings business partners (Indian social enterprises). Understand their needs, develop an action plan on intervention areas required and consult on follow-up goals (implementation) if needed
- Work closely with the Senior Business Consultant, to prepare, execute and follow up on the requirements of the business partner(s)
Key responsibilities
- Act as a strategic advisor to our partners, be adaptive to their needs, support them in understanding how AI can contribute to their business’s operations and social impact goals
- Provide AI-driven strategies if needed, online or onsite, ensuring alignment with the partner objectives and organizational values
- Present recommendations and insights on AI solutions and provide practical examples if needed
- Be able to translate recommendations into an action plan
- Address potential risks and unintended consequences in AI solutions
- Build valuable long-term partnerships with our social enterprise partners to enable their success
Job requirements
- At least 10 years’ professional experience in business consulting and at three years involved in data science, computer science, machine learning engineering projects
- Deep knowledge of AI technologies and applications in business settings
- Ability to create actionable AI strategies, suggest appropriate tools for growth-stage social enterprises
- Hands-on experience implementing AI processes
- Knowledge in AI privacy, data protection and security
- Understanding of change management (desirable)
- Commit to the Women on Wings values (mentioned at the end of this document)
- An expert agreement, based on a pro bono commitment. Five days (40 hours) for Indian experts and 15 days (120 hours) per year for at least three years
Ability to:
- Problem solve and analyze
- Set priorities and simultaneously manage multiple moving parts (e.g. work planning, management of stakeholder expectations, time management)
- Speak and write fluently in English
- Interact on every level, from CEO to junior employees
- Cooperate and communicate with relevant stakeholders
- Travel to remote locations, PAN India (a possibility)
- Act in an international team
- Be flexible
