Meeting the customers
Prabhavati is one the female artisans from Manipur that work with Women on Wings’ business partner Rangsutra Crafts. Recently she and a few other female artisans from Manipur came to the Dastkar Bazaar in Delhi where Rangsutra Crafts has a permanent stall. Prabhavati: “I have come out from Imphal for the first time. I’m having a lot of fun and I’m very proud to see products made by us drawing such appreciation from customers. It’s really heartwarming.”
Hoping for peace and work
It’s not just the work that excites her. Also the jokes in between cracked by people around and the outburst of songs that makes the Dastkar Bazaar the center of a very vibrant space. Prabhavati loves listening to the songs and shares that she hopes that the beautiful land of Manipur will be peaceful and that she and all the other women weavers will continue to work and create a better future for them and their families.
