Women on Wings began a partnership with the Nagai Milk Producers’ Company (NAMPCO). NAMPCO, a cooperative from Nagapattinam in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, currently collects 1,000 liters of cow’s milk every day from 750 female farmers. The aim is to triple the number of farmers in the coming 3 years.
NAMPCO processes the milk and dairy products and sells it at local markets. The ambition of NAMPCO is to further expand turnover and to link more farmers to the cooperative. Women on Wings will support NAMPCO in improving the organization through the development of new dairy products and through the development and implementation of distribution channels in order to create more demand for dairy products.
