Fleur Rooker, a student at VU University Amsterdam, is researching the demand for solar energy among Women on Wings clients. Many products in the Netherlands and India are designed to harness solar power with better and more sustainable energy provision in mind. Solar energy can play an important role in female handiwork by offering more flexible working hours at various points throughout the day and evening.
The research question will primarily target the needs of Women on Wings clients. What are the requirements and conditions for working with solar energy? Which solar energy techniques best contribute to a more sustainable business?
Fleur Rooker studies Science, Business & Innovation. Her graduation project will span a period of four months, including a research trip to India. Fleur will collaborate with several Women on Wings clients in Rajasthan to examine the demand for and application of solar cell technology.
