“Since May 2010, I live on a farm in an agricultural area in the south of the Netherlands. I combine the work on the farm with the household and the care for my children. When I read in the annual report of Women on Wings that most women in India have a number of tasks to do at home (cooking, fetching water, cleaning, taking care of the children and working on the land), I immediately felt connected with those women. I really believe that the creation of jobs for women leads to self-reliance and that definitely creates an important change.
With my professional background as a secretary, I am glad to have the chance to contribute to the Women on Wings mission. It feels good and at the same time enlarges my world by new experiences.”
