Women on Wings processes personal data and other data in accordance with the applicable legislation. In this privacy statement, the considerations involved in this data processing are established.
Applicability
This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal information provided by participants, newsletter subscribers, and our business partnerships and relationships (hereinafter: personal data), as well as data obtained from people visiting and using the Women on Wings website www.womenonwings.com.
We do not process special and / or sensitive personal data
Women on Wings does not intend to collect data about website visitors below the age of 16. Unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we cannot check if a visitor is older than 16. We encourage parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a minor without this permission, please contact us at info@womenonwings.com and we
will delete this information.
Processing personal data
Women on Wings handles personal data with confidentiality and caution. Women on Wings collects personal data when you make a donation (online and in other ways), subscribe to the newsletter (your email address, name, number, consent to be emailed etc), visit Women on Wings events and activities, take part in a webinar or partner with Women on Wings.
These data are processed for the purposes of:
- inviting you to our Whatsapp groups
- inviting experts and others to our meetings
- to deliver post / postcards to you
- sending the newsletter
- To handle your payment via authorization form, invoice or reimbursement sheet issued by you
- Women on Wings also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as
information we need for our tax return - to call or e-mail you to be able to carry out our services and to be able to make appointments
- starting partnerships
- compliance with legal requirements
- addressing disputes, questions, and complaints
- optimizing the operation of the website
- analyzing and improving our services
In addition to the personal data that you provide to Women on Wings yourself, we may also collect, record, and process data regarding your use of our website(s). This data pertains to the devices you use, such as a unique device ID, the version of your operating system, the settings on the device with which you visit Women on Wings, as well as data regarding the use of our website, such as the time at which you visit it and the topics that you view. We also keep track of how actively our newsletter is read by tracking the number of opens and clicks.
Sometimes, personal data are confirmed by Women on Wings or combined with information from external sources. This is how we keep our database up to date.
Automated decision-making
Women on Wings does not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that can have
(significant) consequences for people. These are decisions that are taken by computer programs or
systems, without a person (for example an employee of Women on Wings) involved. Women on Wings
does not use these types of programs. Women on Wings uses the following computer programs or systems:
- Mailchimp
- Google workspace
- Become
- Afas
- Rabobank online banking
Your rights
We use your data in order to help you the best way we can and/or to inform you of our activities in writing, by email, or by telephone.
You can also request that we delete your data from our database. In some cases, we may not be able to comply with your request. For instance, if you have donated to us in the past, the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration requires us to store agreements for seven years. In addition, if you request that we no longer approach you with marketing information, we are required to retain your name so that you can be excluded from contact regarding future campaigns. Of course, if we are unable to comply with your request, we will provide you with the reason.
If you have signed up for our digital newsletter, each newsletter contains a link you can use to unsubscribe.
How does Women on Wings safeguard data?
Any data that you enter on our online forms are encrypted before being sent .Women on Wings utilizes third-party assistance to provide its services (MailChimp, WordPress, Mollie). If these third parties are involved in the processing of personal data as part of the services they provide, they do so in the capacity of processor. All our processors are required to protect your personal data. We conclude agreements with all our processors in which this requirement is explicitly stated.
Cookies
Women on Wings currently uses cookies to personalize its website to make them more user friendly. A cookie is a small file that is stored on the hard drive of your computer. The cookies that we utilize and the options you have regarding them are described below.
Functional cookies
Functional cookies ensure that our website functions properly. An example of this is the donation form function.
Analytical cookies
Women on Wings uses Google Analytics in order to collect data such as the date and time that someone visits our website and the pages that they view. We use these data to improve our website, to assemble website traffic statistics (such as the times of day or the days of the week when the most users are drawn to the website), and to measure the popularity of the different sections of the website. Women on Wings only uses aggregated data for these measurements and cannot trace these to a computer or individual.
You can install the “Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on” in order to prevent our website from sending information about your visits to Google Analytics.
