Women on Wings social enterprise partner since August 2023
Located in Uttar Pradesh, Dalmia Bharat Foundation is a not-for profit organization set up in 2009 to expand the programs and projects of the Dalmia Bharat Group’s CSR division. It believes in the limitless potential of the human being and focus on community driven, beneficiary-centric development programs. One of it’s CSF initiatives is Sarayan Craft.
Over 100 Sarayan Craft artisans weave moonj grass handicrafts that are utility-based for wall and home décor, planter baskets and furnishings. Sarayan Craft is focused on bringing more rural women into the organization. Its ambition is to show women the value of their invested time in the craft and so that they can participate in a number of fairs to boost their income and work orders.
In August 2024, Women on Wings and Dalmia entered a partnership which aims to co-create more employment opportunities for rural women.
